What's the difference between soft washing and pressure washing?
Soft washing uses low pressure (under 500 PSI) combined with biodegradable cleaning solutions to kill mold, mildew, and algae at the source — it's the safe method for siding, roofs, and wood. Pressure washing uses high pressure (3,000+ PSI) to physically blast dirt off hard surfaces like concrete and pavers. Using the wrong method on the wrong surface can cause damage, which is why we match the technique to the material.
Will the cleaning damage my plants or landscaping?
We pre-wet plants and shrubs around the work area before any cleaning solution is applied, and rinse them again after we're done. The solutions we use are diluted and biodegradable. Plant damage from a properly performed soft wash is very rare.
Is soft washing my roof safe? Will it void my shingle warranty?
Yes — soft washing is the method recommended by ARMA (the Asphalt Roofing Manufacturers Association). It kills algae, moss, and lichen at the root using low pressure and a cleaning solution, without the high-pressure water that voids most shingle warranties.
How often should I have my house washed?
Most homes in the New Hampshire Seacoast and Lakes Region benefit from a wash every 1–2 years to prevent permanent staining from mold, mildew, and algae. Roof cleaning is typically every 3–5 years. Heavily shaded properties or homes near water often need more frequent attention.
How long does a typical house wash take?
Most single-family homes take between 2 and 4 hours from setup to cleanup. Larger homes, multi-story properties, or homes with heavy buildup may take longer. We give you an accurate time estimate when we provide your written quote.
Are you licensed and insured?
